| Molly Rabinowitz’ “head, spine, and limbs transform into arches, pendulums, and corkscrews as she executes back walkovers, splits, and an enthralling floorwork phrase that sweeps through high speed spins and spirals..." Lisa Jo Sagolla (Backstage Magazine) |

The Alexander technique is a method of learning to release unnecessary tension in the body. One brings habits of movement and breath into awareness and is then able to make new physical choices which improve ease and freedom of movement, balance, support, and coordination. The technique can be applied to everyday activities as well as specialized activities such as working at a computer, sports, yoga, singing, dancing, and playing a musical instrument. Molly Rabinowitz offers private lessons and small group classes in the Alexander Technique. She also offers private and small group classes in yoga with emphasis on applying the principles of the Alexander technique to asana and meditation practice. Molly is an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander technique. She has nineteen years experience in the Alexander Technique, including over ten years as a teacher. In addition to her private practice, she also teaches in Balance Arts Alexander Teachers training program and at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Centers Bendheim Center for Integrative Medicine. For more information or to set up an appointment you can call 718 625-2852 or email mollyrabinowitz@aol.com. Brooklyn and Manhattan locations are available. Molly Rabinowitz embodies that wondrous quality which distinguishes a dancer from an athlete. She has the remarkable ability to completely surrender her deliciously supple body to the curves and rhythms of movement, thereby kinesthetically communicating the phenomenal joy of frolicking freely within the forms of space.
